Crestfield Camp and Conference Center is seeking several Summer Staff for their camp program for the summer of 2023.  Qualified Summer Staff are 18 and over, have experience working with kids, love the outdoors, are comfortable in a Christian setting, and have an open mindset that welcomes diversity and inclusion.  

Crestfield is looking for well rounded staff members who are comfortable serving in several of the following areas.  

  • Photographer/Videographer
  • Worship/Music Leader
  • Belayer for High Ropes/Climbing Wall
  • Lifeguard
  • Cabin Counselor
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Environmental Education
  • Archery Instructor
  • Athletics
  • Drama/Skits
  • Spiritual Development/Bible Lessons
  • First aid/wellness

Staff will be provided with a weekly stipend and free meals during camp hours.  Housing and additional meals can be provided as needed.    This year camp dates are as follow:  

  • June 12-16  Staff Training
  • June 19-23  Day Camp (Grades 1-8)
  • June 26-30  Day Camp (Grades 1-8)
  • July 5-7  Short Week Day Camp (Grades 1-8)
  • July 9-14  Classic Adventure Resident Camp (Grades 3-8)
  • July 17-21  Day Camp (Grades 1-8) 
  • July 23-28  Service and Adventure Resident Camp (Grades 7-12)

Work hours for Staff Training and Day Camp weeks are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday.  During the two resident camp weeks Summer Staff should plan to be on site 24/7, Sunday-Friday.  

All counselors will be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED (American Red Cross).  Counselors will also have the opportunity to be certified free of charge in Lifeguarding (American Red Cross), High Ropes/Climbing Wall (site specific certification), and Archery (USA Archery).  

Summer Staff are required to have up to date state of Pennsylvania child protection clearances (FBI, State Police, Child Abuse) on file at Crestfield.

Crestfield Camp and Conference Center is currently seeking a housekeeper.  This flexible job averages  20-25 hours and involves:

  • Cleaning rooms and changing beds in our Lodge between guests
  • Cleaning communal areas in the Lodge and other buildings
  • Laundering linens
  • Reporting inventory of necessary supplies
  • Reporting maintenance needs
  • Following camp and safety policies and procedures

Work Hours and Benefits

The majority of housekeeping responsibilities need to be accomplished between Monday and Thursday, with occasional weekend responsibilities.  Weekday work schedule and times can be determined by the employee with approval from the camp director, though weekend work hours, when necessary, are more defined.  In most cases, scheduling can be planned at least a couple weeks in advance.  Crestfield is a family friendly work environment which strives to offer flexibility for parents and a supportive environment for young adults on our staff.   Depending on the employee’s needs, negotiated benefits may include:  free summer childcare in our day camp program,  on-site housing, or health insurance coverage.

Crestfield is looking for adults 18 and older who have skills to share with campers!  Do you love to knit?  Make mini potted gardens?  Do you make birdhouses or music?   Would you be interested in serving as Camp Nurse or Chaplain?  Would you be able to share your gift with campers for one week of camp this summer (or maybe even just for a day or two)?  If so, we’d love to have you join us! 

Skill Sharers are invited to stay on site at Crestfield with free room and board for the days of their stay, and additional compensation may be arranged as needed/desired.

Skill Sharers are required to provide up to date state of Pennsylvania Child Protection Clearances and character references.
