What if the place you most long to encounter God is closer than you think?

In the midst of busy schedules and constant demands, it can be difficult to notice the quiet ways God is present within us. Meeting the God Within is a retreat designed to help you step away, slow down, and rediscover that presence. Through a blend of meditative, contemplative, and embodied practices, you will be invited to encounter the God who meets us in stillness.

Why “the God Within”?

God is the sovereign of the universe but is also intimately present within us. We are often most open to that presence during the “in-between” times of life: seasons of transition, uncertainty, or change. As summer gives way to fall, this retreat takes place in one of those “in-between” moments. Together, we will reflect on Biblical stories of people who encountered God in their own times of transition and open ourselves to meeting God there as well.

What to Expect

• Time for rest, recreation, and personal reflection
• Optional one-on-one spiritual direction consultations

This retreat is paced to allow both meaningful engagement and deep rest.

Retreat Leader

Rev. Peter C. de Vries, Ph.D.
Peter brings 38 years of pastoral experience, including over three decades in one congregation. A certified spiritual director, he has also spent 20 years equipping church leaders in Ghana. His leadership is marked by insight, attentiveness, and a commitment to helping others discern God’s presence in their lives.

Location: Crestfield Camp & Conference Center (near Slippery Rock, PA)

• Open to adults 18+
• 6 meals included

Pricing

• Full Weekend: $225 (double) | $275 (single)
• Saturday Departure: $185 (double) | $210 (single)

A Saturday evening departure option allows those with Sunday morning responsibilities—including pastors—to fully participate in the retreat experience.
